We as human have some basic rights given by Mother Nature and as we are the only specious in this universe who can decide and take measures to make new rights and can protect them also.(the man made rights, in line with nature).

The world observes Human Rights Day on 10th December every year. The day is initiated by United Nations General Assembly back in 1948.Its called the Universal Declaration of Human Rights(UDHR).Basically it is the most translated document of modern days history of man kind, with 500 plus languages. The declaration is a masterpiece itself when it comes to define human rights as it defines the rights which we all entitled as human being.Irrespective of colour , sex ,age, race or religion, language, national or geo political being, birth or any social status. This declaration means equivalent rights of human beings across the nations and beyond barriers of believes.

The core purpose to have human rights or to mark the Human Rights Day is to provide each being a life to live with dignity. The United Nations are always trying to keep human rights as a centric point of their tasks globally. For this very purpose United Nations having a Sustainable Development Goals program across the countries and UN says without being given human rights we can not achieve any sustainable development.

Eleanor Roosevelt was the Chairperson of the drafting jury of Universal Declaration of Human rights. And she said “

Where, after all,do Universal human rights starts? In small places near to home,so close and so tiny that one can not seen on any maps of the world.Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere.Without concerted citizen action to uphold them close to home,we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world.”

Every year the Human Rights Day is celebrated with a theme, and the themes evolves only the betterment of mankind. And an consistent effort to make sure no one is bared from human rights.

The theme for this year’s Human rights day is -Recover Better and Stand up for Human rights. As the world is still in aftershocks of Covid-19.The theme of Human Rights Day is related to the Covid -19 and the prime focuses on the request to make each individual get the benefits of recovery efforts. A systematic approach is need of the hour to spread the words and actions to make it more equal and composed place to live and to create equal opportunities for all.And to make sure human rights are not violate at any costs on the name of the Covid-19. The December 10th is the day to remember the importance of the human rights as the world needs a balanced application to protect the lives of millions and at the same time no rights being compromised.
